Heads held high: Certaldese Giovani 1-0 DINAMO
A hard-fought game against the league leaders, settled by a free kick from the edge of the box.
Matchday 6 of Terza Categoria, Group C, ended 1-0 to Certaldese Giovani at the Campo Comunale in Certaldo. A hard-fought game, a 0-0 kind of game, against the top side in the table, on a pitch made heavy by the weather.
DINAMO played them on equal terms, without fear, and the first half finished 0-0.
The balance held for a long time after the break; the game was settled by a free kick from the edge of the box, scored by Certaldese captain Matteo Ciappi. Coach Pestelli's side kept pushing to the very end, but the equaliser did not come.
It hurts to miss out on a point that was within reach, but we leave knowing we can compete with anyone.
