A point that feels like too little: Atletico Calcio Impruneta–DINAMO 1-1
Mori put us ahead in the 17th minute from a corner, followed by a strong first half. With minutes to go, ten-man Impruneta found the equaliser.
The Matchday 8 game in Terza Categoria, Group C, between Atletico Calcio Impruneta and DINAMO, played on Saturday afternoon at the Stadio dei Pini in Impruneta, ended 1-1.
The first half was ours. The team kept the ball, pushed forward and scored in the 17th minute: from a corner taken by Lorenzo Nencioni, Duccio Mori made it 0-1. More chances followed before the break, but the second goal did not come.
The second half was a different game. Both sides were more careful, space closed up and the match became more physical than pretty. We created less, but Impruneta also struggled to threaten. The hosts were reduced to ten men after a red card for dissent.
Just when the game seemed under control, around the 90th minute, a high ball was misread: their number 11 got to it first and shot, Andrea Ciappelli saved, but Lorenzo Gheri tapped in the rebound for 1-1. Nothing else happened.
Two points slipped away late on, which leaves a bitter taste, but it was a solid performance, especially in the first half. We go again from here. Thank you to everyone who came all the way to Impruneta to support us.
